We were contacted today by an interior designer who was in panic mode over a disastrous upholstery cleaning her client received from a well known carpet and upholstery cleaning company in Fort Myers.  This interior designer was mortified because she recommended the upholstery cleaning company to her client.

The “upholstery cleaning professional” did not have the experience to fully appreciate cleaning a one of a kind, custom made $8,000 sofa.  Basically they didn’t do a proper inspection of the fabric or else they would have noticed the upholsterers stenciling behind the buttons and would have chosen a different manner in which to clean the sofa.

The “bleeding” you see in the attached picture is actually ink that was used by the designer to mark where the buttons were to be sewn.   The inexperienced technician had no clue about this potential pitfall and cleaned the fabric the same way they would have cleaned any other sofa and the end result of their actions speaks for itself.  In the interior designers mind, the upholstery was ruined and the clients were “beside themselves.”

Based on a recommendation from another interior designer, we were contacted and asked to perform “a miracle.”  Our certified technician met the designer at the clients home and was able to remove the dye stains surrounding EVERY BUTTON on the custom sofa.
