Dirty tile and grout have you frustrated? Tru-Clean Surface Care can clean and seal your tile and grout, restoring it to like-new condition!
Tile flooring, known for its durability, easy maintenance, and cost-effectiveness is the number one flooring material in the Cape Coral, Naples, and the Punta Gorda area. Just like carpet, ceramic, and porcelain tile floors and other surfaces need professional attention at times in order to maintain their cleanliness and appearance while extending their life.
When it comes to maintaining and cleaning tile and grout, you can rely on Tru-Clean Surface Care’s skilled technicians to thoroughly clean and restore your areas to a like-new appearance. If your grout has been permanently stained or if you are looking to change the color of your grout, we can help.
Tile and Grout Cleaning Process
Ever notice how the grout between your tiles gets darker over time? That’s because grout is porous and slowly absorbs dirt, grime, spills, pet urine, and mop water leading to discoloration. Tru-Clean offers the best tile and grout cleaning using cutting-edge technologies that help clean deep-set dirt, oils, spills, and other contaminants that can make your floors look “ugly.”
Using a state-of-the-art steam extraction coupled with a proprietary emulsification cleaning solution charged with hydrogen peroxide, our technicians can remove hard-to-clean grime and dirt that other tile cleaning companies can’t reach. The result of our thoroughly exhaustive tile and grout cleaning will leave your tile flooring looking it’s very best.
Our Tile and Grout Cleaning Process
- Pre-Inspection to determine the best cleaning method for your particular flooring needs
- Custom blend the appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Apply a cleaning solution to the tile and grout and allow sufficient time to dwell.
- Agitate cleaning solution into grout lines by hand.
- Safely rinse flooring with hydrogen peroxide blend at 245°F using 900+ lbs of cleaning action.

With the client’s approval, we can apply a professional-grade sealant designed to protect grout lines from spills and extend the beauty of your tile flooring.

“AMAZING COMPANY – if you are looking for someone to help you – my tile floors look BRAND NEW!!!”
Cindy Winsor T. – Naples, FL
After your tile and grout are deep cleaned and sanitized, take advantage of our grout sealing services. We use the highest quality grout sealer available for the best protection. Grout sealer is absorbed into the porous surface, filling in the tiny holes where contaminants collect. It leaves your floor with a clean and fresh look that is much easier to maintain because regular cleaning is more productive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I have been scrubbing my tile and grout for years with little success. What makes Tru-Clean’s method so successful?
A. To achieve maximum cleaning results requires a combination of the right tools and equipment, chemicals and professional cleaning products, heat (hot water in excess of 245 degrees) and most of all knowledge of what needs to be used and how in any given situation. All Tru-Clean technicians are expertly trained and have the knowledge and experience and clean hundreds of tiled floors annually…we really know our stuff!
Q. My grout is FILTHY. Can you clean it back to its original color again?
A. Most of the time, we can restore grout to its original condition. However, results depend on how long it’s been dirty, the type of situation, if it has been abused with pet urine or improper cleaning agents when it was last sealed (if ever) and the type of grout. If we cannot achieve an acceptable clean, we recommend our grout color sealing service. We offer free in-home estimates and evaluations.
Q. My grout has pet urine stains in several areas. Can you remove these stains?
A. Our thoroughly exhaustive pet urine treatment is highly effective in treating deep-set bacteria found in grout due to pet and human accidents. With reference to the “stain” left behind, successful removal is dependent upon several factors, including:
- How long has the stain been on the tile or grout
- If an inappropriate spotting solution has been used to try to remove the stain
- The pH of the urine, when deposited
- If the grout has a sealer applied
Based on the above conditions, urine stains may be successfully removed if the urine has not “burned” an image into the grout. Stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
The longer urine is left untreated, the greater the likelihood of permanent damage to the carpeting, grout, or sub-flooring. Depending on the pH level of the urine at the time it’s deposited, it can be highly acidic and damaging to your textile. The sooner you can treat the urine deposit, the greater the likelihood that spotting can be removed.
For stained grout, we offer grout color sealing services.
Q. How do I stop my tile and grout from re-soiling rapidly after Tru-Clean Surface Care has cleaned it?
A. Once we have completed the cleaning process, and with your approval, we will seal the grout with a commercial-grade sealant that is absorbed by the grout lines versus riding on the grout as most cheap sealers do. Our penetrating sealer will last 3-5 years, depending on how well the tiled areas are maintained and the foot traffic experienced. To keep your floors looking great, simply mop on a regular basis with any NEUTRAL tile or floor cleaning solution. Do not use vinegar-based cleaning solutions, as the acidity of the vinegar will erode ANY sealant on the market.
Q. What’s the difference between tile and grout cleaning with regular sealing vs. Color Sealing?
A. Tile and grout cleaning is done to clean your tile and grout and return your grout’s color as close as possible to its original color. In 95% of all homes and businesses we clean, a thoroughly exhaustive cleaning followed by grout sealing will restore a clean look and protect the grout from staining and make follow-up cleaning easier and more effective.
In some circumstances, the existing grout is permanently stained and cannot be restored to ‘like-new enough to deliver the “wow factor” a customer is looking for. With permanently stained grout, you cannot “clean” the stains away any more than you can “clean” the bleach stains from your favorite pair of blue jeans. (Grout can also be stained or discolored if exposed to continuous sunlight, pet urine, heavy foot traffic, improper cleaning solutions, bleach, and old age, just to name a few.)
The Grout Color Sealing process will make your grout look better than brand new with no color variations and will dry to a natural and professional finish — guaranteed!
