What causes grout lines to be discolored?

Over time, soils, oil, pollen, spills and pet dander make their way deep in the grout causing the grout lines to discolor and turn “ugly”. We begin the tile and grout cleaning process by applying a pet and baby safe emulsifying cleaning agent charged with hydrogen peroxide to all tiled areas to be cleaned. Our technician will then use a grout cleaning brush to work the cleaner deep into the grout and allow sufficient time to dwell. Our truck mount then goes to work, and the end results speak for themselves.
How To Avoid Dirty Grout Lines
As soon as you have your tile and grout professionally cleaned, we recommend sealing the grout with a professional grade (not store purchased) penetrating grout sealer.
Unlike many tile cleaning companies who use the cheapest sealer they can find that offers no or limited protection, Tru-Clean applies the industry leading Stonetech Bulletproof Professional Sealer. During the life of the sealer, soils, moisture from your mop and spills will no longer be able to penetrate the grout, making it easier to clean and will improve the appearance of your tiled areas for years to come.
We also offer grout staining to those clients who are interested in permanently changing the color of their existing grout or in instances where the existing grout has been permanently stained and does not look good even after cleaning. Tile floors that have been color sealed look better than brand new.
