Pet Urine Treatment For Carpeting, Upholstery And Mattresses

When it comes to pet urine stain and odor removal for carpeting, Tru-Clean Surface Care is the cleaner of choice”  for many SW Florida pet owners.  We’re credited with keeping hundreds of pets “out of the dog house!”

Tru-Clean Surface Care’s years of experience, coupled with industry certifications and enzymatic cleaning solutions, guarantees clients the highest quality cleaning and pet urine solutions in the industry.

When pet urine comes into contact with wall-to-wall carpeting or area rugs, urine acids and salts penetrate deep into the face yarn ending up in the carpet’s foundation. This acidic environment is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, and bacteria production is almost instantaneous. Depending on the amount or frequency of the urine deposit(s), urine can penetrate the rugs padding, if any, and then proceed to the wood, concrete, or grout foundation of your floor.

As urine begins to dry, its composition changes from acid to alkaline and off-gassing of ammonia and other offensive odors will follow, contributing to poor indoor air quality. Urine can cause dry rot and dye migration.  The longer urine remains in your carpeting, the greater the damage it causes that can lead to permanent harm to the fibers of your carpet.

Our Pet Urine Decontamination Process For Carpeting, Upholstery, And Mattresses

Tru-Clean Surface Care specializes in treating pet urine and other bacterial accidents on carpet, upholstery, or mattresses.  Whether your textile is made of nylon, wool, polyester, cotton, or a Berber blend, we have a treatment process specifically for your unique pet urine treatment needs.

When checking a client’s carpeting for pet urine, the area is thoroughly examined with Xenon lighting by a certified technician to gauge the level of contamination and develop a treatment program.

Upon inspection, the areas that glow due to pet urine feces or bacteria are flooded with live enzymes.  After sufficient dwell time, we extract the enzymes using a water claw.   The entire room is cleaned, and pH conditioned rinsed, followed by a treatment designed to help eliminate pet urine staining.  Live enzymes will continue to work over the next fourteen days consuming the bacteria of the urine or feces as a food source.  Your carpeting will be dry after cleaning in approximately 2-3 hours.
