If your household has carpet, dogs are going to prefer to urinate on carpet over hardwood floors. Carpet is soft, and closely resembles grass.

Cleaning pet urine completely out of the carpet is difficult. Depending upon how long the urine has settled, it will pull down into the bottom layers and potentially turn to bacteria. Once urine has reached and absorbed into the carpet padding, you must have the area professionally treated with the appropriate commercial enzymes or in extreme cases, the carpet padding must be replaced.

If any traces of urine or dog pheromones are still remaining on the carpet, it’s only natural for a dog to continue to mark that area.

Great job on carpet cleaning

I personally use True Clean for my own carpet cleaning and have recently used them to clean a client’s furniture and valences at a Condo to get rid of pet dander and they did a fantastic job. The technician was so thorough and even left me some of the solutions to continue to use on any other surfaces. It’s always a pleasure working with True Clean and their customer service is great.
