Cape Coral Pet Urine Treatment and Carpet Cleaning

Cape Coral and Lee County residents love their pets. We happen to be dog and cat lovers too. Approximately 75% of our clients are pet owners so it’s inevitable we run into urine and pet odor problems on a daily basis

Treating pet urine and odor issues is part science and part experience and having the appropriate technologies and cleaning solutions can mean the difference between a successful treatment or not.

No two pet urine issues are the same and there is no “one size fits all” approach to an effective pet urine treatment. There are many factors that go into urine cleaning such as:  the animal size, age, breed, medications, diet and illnesses such as kidney problems or pregnancy.

All too often we’re called by pet owners with their chief complaint being the previous carpet cleaner was unable to remove their pets odor or stain and our services have been referred to them by a friend or veterinarian.

Successful pet urine treatments can only be accomplished with experience, and sadly, many carpet cleaners lack the training and simply apply strong deodorizers that fade away about the same time your check clears the bank.

If you have a new puppy, cat or small toy dog the urine is most likely contained on the surface of the carpeting and cleanup using commercial grade enzymes and extraction is pretty straight forward.  Large breed dogs are a different story; big bladders mean big problems.  If a large dog empties its bladder on one area of a carpet then not only is the carpeting contaminated – so is the padding and this will require a DEEP treatment.

Tru Clean – Dog and Cat Urine Treatment:

First, We locate the source of the problem using a Xenon light source and then saturate the area with a special commercial grade solution made specifically for urine and odor removal.

For a 1 x 1 square foot area our technician will pour at least one half gallon of commercial grade enzymes onto the carpet. We want to make sure this urine treatment soaks through the carpeting and into the padding. We will let the solution soak for approximately 30 minutes.

Second, After the appropriate dwell time we use a specialized tool called a “Water Claw” to recover the pet urine treatment from the padding and carpeting.

Third, We then soak and agitate the area with a specialty enzymatic deodorizer product that destroys all odors by encapsulating the molecules.

Fourth, Once again we use a Water Claw to remove enzymatic deodorizer, along with the urine salts and bacteria, from the carpet and padding.

Fifth, the area is completely rinsed with pH conditioned water and prepared for a thoroughly exhaustive carpet cleaning.

Extreme Cases:

In some extreme cases the above procedure will not eliminate the pet urine odor 100% because the urine has been absorbed by the subfloor (concrete or wood). In these cases the technician will disengage the carpeting, remove the padding, treat and seal the subfloor and replace the padding.
