This Memorial Day weekend, let’s make certain that we take a moment from our busy lives to give thanks to all those who gave of themselves for our very freedoms and rights that we share today.

Many of you will be at the beach, out on the boat, having a BBQ with family, etc. Others will be putting flowers on loved one’s grave and mourning their loss.

Regardless of what you do this weekend, please take a moment to remember those that allow all of us to enjoy the freedoms we have. Take a moment to explain to your kids what Memorial Day is all about and why they don’t have school on Monday. And if you know someone who has lost a family member in service to their country, give them a hug, shake their hand – tell them you honor their loved one and are grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Those who are serving and have served in our Armed Forces are our countries #1 asset and it is imperative that we give this national holiday the respect and dignity it deserves.
